      Introduction

      There are many important women's groups in Zimbabwe, such as:

      1. Zimbabwe Women Writers (ZWW) was founded in 1990. This group holds workshops, literacy training courses, and publishes volumes of writing by Zimbabwean women. Although branch offices of ZWW are located throughout the country, the main office is located at this postal address: Zimbabwe Women Writers, 78 Kaguvi Street, Box 4209, Harare, ZIMBABWE. A list of available books from ZZW is given in the Bibliography on this page.
      2. Msasa Project is an organization that deals with marriage problems, such as domestic violence, child support, teenage pregnancy, and the development of widowed and divorced women. Msasa Project is currently running a TV series called Padare (At the Court), which helps both women and husbands who have marital problems. (It is similar to the Oprah Winfrey Show in the United States).
      3. IBWO -- Indigenous Business Women Organization -- is a group for developed and developing business women. They help finance and support women to acquire business stands and markets overseas. You can reach them through this postal address: IBWO, 73b Central Av, Box 3710, Harare, ZIMBABWE.
      4. WAG -- Women Action Group -- is a human rights group. You can reach them through this postal address: WAG, 11 Lincoln Road, Avondale Box 135, Harare, ZIMBABWE. Their fax number is: 339161.
